Co-organizer, Assistant Professor, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen
Start from July 2021, Kai Zhang will be an Assistant Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. Kai obtained his Ph.D. Degree from Iowa State University in 2015 and, in cooperation with Dr. Hui Hu, he worked there as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for one year. From 2016-2021, he worked with Dr. David Rival as a research scientist at the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen’s University. His research interest covers a wide range of topics in the field of experimental fluid mechanics including complex flows in suspensions, free surface flows, pulsatile flows and wind energy. He is actively seeking for novel flow diagnostic techniques and implementing these techniques to disclosure the physics in multiphase flows.
